Are there games for kids without ads?
Meowhide has no ads and no in-app purchases. Many free games for kids earn money from video ads between levels, and young children often tap them by mistake. If we ever add ads to a future game, they will follow strict rules: ads made for children, never personalised, never in the middle of play, always with a clear close button, and never before a child has played for a while. We will say so on the game's page and in its privacy policy first. These rules match what Google Play asks of every family app:
“Monetization and advertising in your app must not have deceptive content or be designed in a way that will result in inadvertent clicks from child users.”
“Don’t serve personalized ads to children.”
What do our safety rules look like in numbers?
Our safety rules are simple enough to count. In Meowhide, our first game, there are 0 ads, 0 in-app purchases, 0 accounts and 0 pieces of personal data collected. It plays 100% offline, it is made for ages 5 and up, and grown-ups settings sit behind 1 parent question. Our privacy policy was last updated on 7 November 2026.
What will our games never do?
- Ask your child for a name, email, photo or location.
- Let players chat with strangers.
- Use scary images, violence or pressure to keep playing.
- Send your child to a website or store page without a parent check.
How can families set healthy screen habits?
Good games are only one part of it. Deciding together when and how much to play helps more than any setting.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that parents “develop a plan that takes into account the health, education and entertainment needs of each individual child as well as the whole family”.
